Every plan includes a daily amount of AI usage, shared by the entire organization. Higher plans include more.

What counts toward the limit

  • AI⋅there conversations, including merging notes into a document.
  • Ask AI: the space bar, the selection and AI menu, and writing the email in the share window.
These features keep working when the limit is reached:
  • document summaries;
  • voice-note enhancement;
  • Create next.

How the chosen model affects usage

Usage depends on how much text the AI reads and writes, and on the model. A more capable model uses more of the daily allowance for the same request. In the model picker, these models show Uses more of your organization’s daily AI usage than other models in their description. Ratios are approximate and were measured in October 2026. They can change when providers update their prices.

Examples

  • Rewording a paragraph with Claude Sonnet 5.5 uses about as much as 20 rewordings with Claude Haiku 5.5.
  • A question to AI⋅there that analyzes a long document with GPT-6.1 Sol uses about as much as 6 identical questions with Claude Haiku 5.5.
  • For everyday edits (spelling, tone, translation, shortening), Claude Haiku 5.5 or GPT-6 Luna give fast results and keep most of the daily allowance available. Keep Claude Sonnet 5.5 and GPT-6.1 Sol for complex analysis and synthesis.
Administrators can restrict the models available to the organization in its AI settings.

When the limit is reached

AI⋅there and Ask AI show a message saying the daily AI usage limit has been reached. The limit uses a rolling 24-hour window, not a reset at midnight. Usage frees up progressively as earlier requests leave the window. For example, if most of the usage happened on Monday at 10:00, it becomes available again from Tuesday at 10:00. To increase the daily AI usage, upgrade to a higher plan. See Change your plan or billing cycle.
