Custom sender
By default, sharing emails are sent from the there.do address with your name.
You can customise the display name and the reply-to email address.
To configure a custom sender:
- In the share view, open the Sender section.
- Edit the display name and/or the reply-to address.
- If you enter a new address, a verification code is sent to it — you must have
access to that inbox to confirm.
This option is particularly useful for teams who prefer to send from a shared
address such as project@firm.com.
Automatic signature
A signature is automatically added to every sharing email. It includes your
organisation’s logo.
To customise the content:
- Open the Signature section in the share view.
- Edit the text as needed.
The signature is saved automatically and reused for future shares.
The logo shown in the signature is the one configured for your organisation.
To change it, go to your organisation settings.
Automatic lock
You can automatically lock the document a set number of days after it is sent.
Locking disables comments and any further edits to the document.
To enable locking:
- In the share view, open the Lock section.
- Set the number of days after sending.
A locked document can never be unlocked, even by its creator. Check the delay
before sending.
Public link
By default, only invited recipients and members of your organisation can access
the document.
To make the document accessible to anyone with the link:
- In the share view, scroll to the bottom.
- Change the visibility to Anyone with the link can view.
Once this option is enabled:
- The Copy link button generates a shareable public link.
- The Share on WhatsApp button sends it directly via WhatsApp.
- People without a there.do account are counted as anonymous in
read tracking. They cannot comment on the
document.
