From There
By default, There sends sharing emails fromnotifications@there.do. We prepare the
email, add the secure sharing link, and deliver it to the recipients listed in
To, Cc, and Bcc.
The sender name remains clearly visible to recipients, for example
Sender name (via there.do) <notifications@there.do>.
There acts as a trusted sender for these notifications. This mode keeps the full
sharing workflow inside the application and supports There email features
such as read tracking, scheduled sending, automatic reminders, automatic lock,
and comments.
Custom sender
This feature is available starting from the Business plan.
- the display name used for the email;
- the reply-to email address used when a recipient answers.
- In the share view, open the Sender section.
- Select There Notification.
- Edit the display name and/or the reply-to address.
- If you enter a new reply-to address, enter the verification code sent to that inbox.
From your mailbox
There helps you prepare the sharing email with the writing assistance available in the application, such as recipient suggestions and message composition. The email is then sent through another mailbox, with the document access link automatically included in the message.Email client
You can also send the sharing email from your own desktop or web email client (Microsoft Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, Microsoft Mail / Windows Mail, Thunderbird, Spark, eM Client). After you compose the email in There, the application opens your email client with a pre-filled draft. The draft includes the subject, message body, recipients, and the sharing link. You can edit it before confirming the send from your own mailbox. This mode uses your local email application. There prepares the draft but does
not send the email for you.
Outlook
If you use Microsoft Outlook, There can send the email directly from your Outlook mailbox after you link your Microsoft account and grant the required permissions. Once Outlook is connected, the Send button prepares and sends the sharing email from your own mailbox. The sent email is saved in your Outlook Sent Items history.Gmail
If you use Gmail or Google Workspace, There can send the email directly from your Google account after you link it and grant the required permissions. Once Gmail is connected, the Send button prepares and sends the sharing email from your own mailbox. The sent email is saved in your Gmail Sent history.Which sender should you choose?
Sending from your email client, Outlook, or Gmail uses your own mailbox rather than There’s notification infrastructure. Some There-managed email features are therefore unavailable:
Use There Notification when you need tracking and automation. Use your own
mailbox when the email must come directly from your address or when recipients
expect to see the message in an existing mailbox thread.
