An organization admin can change the organization’s plan from Settings → Plans.

Upgrade your plan

An upgrade takes effect immediately.
  • The higher monthly document allowance is available as soon as the upgrade is confirmed.
  • The features included in the new plan are enabled immediately.
  • You are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period.
For example, if you upgrade from Pro to Team halfway through the billing period, the Team allowance and features become available immediately. The invoice covers only the remaining portion of that period at the higher plan.

Downgrade your plan

A downgrade takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period. Until then, you keep your current plan, features, and allowance. The lower document allowance begins with the next period. Existing documents and notes remain accessible and editable after the downgrade, except for content that depends on a feature no longer included in the new plan. For example, PDF document export is not available on Free.
Before downgrading from Business, move every document you need to keep using out of team folders and into the organization. When the downgrade takes effect, team folders and the documents left inside them become inaccessible, including to admins. They cannot be moved afterward unless access to the feature is restored.

Switch between monthly and annual billing

Monthly and annual subscriptions include the same features and monthly document allowance for the selected plan. Annual subscriptions are paid in full for 12 months and offer a lower equivalent monthly price. The document allowance still renews monthly. Open the billing portal from Settings → Plans → Manage billing and payments to review the available change and its effective date before confirming it.

If you are already at the document limit

Upgrading immediately gives the organization the allowance of the new plan. There are no automatic overage charges and no one-time document packs. See Document allowance and usage for details.
