The Progress tracking block provides a clear view of how project elements are advancing over time.
To add this block, type /progress then select Progress tracking.
The block lets you track multiple progress dimensions with a dated history, navigate between check-ins and reorder rows as needed. You can switch between a visual view and a table view, including on mobile.

Date display

You can choose how dates are shown:
  • None
  • Short
  • Full
Examples:
  • Short: displays only two dates (actual start / end).
  • Full: displays up to 4 dates (planned/actual, start/end) with delta.

Options

Target value

Turn on Target to compare each row’s actual progress against an expected one as check-ins come in.
  1. Open the action menu .
  2. Click Target.
Each row then shows its target next to the actual value, editable inline. The total also shows the difference between the actual sum and the target.

Export

Copy-paste preserves the data structure for reuse in tools like Excel or ChatGPT.

Archiving

To keep the table manageable over time:
  1. Open the action menu .
  2. Click Archive completed tasks.
You can then show archived tasks again via the icon to keep the full history.

Create or fill from a list

You can pre-fill a Progress tracking block using data from an existing Attendance block. Type /progress in the slash command menu and select Completion from a list to choose the source list. The block is created with one row per entry in the selected list. To add rows to an existing block, open the row menu and click Add rows from a list.
