Accordingly, those persons who choose to access the Services from other locations do so on their own initiative and are solely responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable. The Services are not tailored to comply with industry-specific regulations (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), etc.), so if your interactions would be subjected to such laws, you may not use the Services. You may not use the Services in a way that would violate the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA).Overview of AI Features
Our Services include optional artificial intelligence (AI) features designed to enhance your experience. These features include voice recording transcription and AI-powered content summarization. Use of these AI features is entirely optional: you may use the Services to create and manage notes manually without utilizing any AI functionality.Third-Party AI Service Providers
To provide these AI features, we utilize the following trusted third-party service providers:- AssemblyAI (located in the United States): for voice recording transcription services.
- Gemini (Google), Anthropic, OpenAI, and Mistral AI: for generative AI features such as document generation, text analysis, and AI-powered content creation. The model used depends on your selection or the feature in use.
What Data is Shared and When
When you choose to use our AI features, the following data sharing occurs:- Voice Transcription: When you complete a voice recording and choose to transcribe it, the audio file is sent to AssemblyAI for processing. The audio file is transmitted only after you have finished recording, not during the recording process. The transcribed text is then returned to our Services and stored in your account on our servers located in Europe (France and Germany).
- AI Summarization: When you request a summary or AI-generated content, the relevant text content, such as your transcriptions or notes, is sent to Google Gemini for processing. The AI-generated response is then returned to our Services and stored in your account.
Data Protection and Third-Party Commitments
We have implemented the following safeguards to protect your data:- No Training on Your Data: Both AssemblyAI and Google Gemini have contractually committed not to use your data to train their AI models. Your recordings, transcriptions, and content are processed solely to provide you with the requested service and are not used for any other purpose by these providers.
- Data Encryption: All data transmitted to and from third-party AI services is encrypted using industry-standard protocols (TLS/SSL).
- Third-Party Data Retention: Third-party AI service providers process your data in accordance with their respective privacy policies and our agreements with them. We do not control how these third-party services retain or use your data beyond the scope of providing services to us.
- GDPR Compliance: Our agreements with AssemblyAI and Google Gemini include Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other appropriate safeguards required under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for international data transfers.
Your Consent and Control
By using the AI features of our Services, you explicitly consent to the sharing of your data with the third-party AI service providers identified above for the purposes described in this section. You understand that:- Your consent is required before any data is sent to third-party AI services.
- You may choose not to use AI features at any time and continue using the Services for manual note-taking.
- You may delete your recordings, transcriptions, and AI-generated content from your account at any time through the Services.
- You may withdraw your consent and request deletion of your data by contacting us at hello@there.do.
Important Privacy Notice
Do not record or submit sensitive, confidential, or regulated information (such as health information protected under HIPAA, financial information protected under GLBA, or other legally protected data) through our AI features unless you have obtained all necessary consents and have legal authority to share such information. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you submit through our AI features complies with all applicable laws and regulations. Miscellaneous
These Legal Terms and any policies or operating rules posted by us on the Services or in respect to the Services constitute the entire agreement and understanding between you and us. Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Legal Terms shall not operate as a waiver of such right or provision. These Legal Terms operate to the fullest extent permissible by law. We may assign any or all of our rights and obligations to others at any time. We shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, delay, or failure to act caused by any cause beyond our reasonable control.
