# Recipients

> Add recipients manually or detect them from the document

In the share view, the recipient field offers three ways to add contacts.

## Manual entry

Type an email address directly into the field. You can split recipients across
**To**, **Cc**, and **Bcc**.

## Auto-detect from the document

Instead of entering each address, there.do can automatically detect available
contacts in your document.

Two sources are available:

| Source                        | Description                                                 |
| ----------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| All addresses in the document | Every email address found in the document content |
| Distribution contacts | Contacts in the Attendance block marked as **Distribution** |

The list stays in sync with the document: if you add a contact or update the
Attendance block before sending, the detection reflects the latest version.

<Tip>
  To get the most out of auto-detection, keep the Attendance block up to date
  with the Distribution column enabled.
