# Import notes via WhatsApp

> Send a WhatsApp message to create private notes in there.

Each message sent to the there WhatsApp bot creates a private note in your organization, with the status **To do**. Messages sent within the same hour are automatically grouped into a single note.

## Prerequisites

Your phone number must be verified on your there account. Without a verified number, the bot cannot link your messages to your account.

## Enable WhatsApp import

    In the **Notes** tab, click <Icon icon="import" size={16} /> *Import* in the header, then select **WhatsApp**.

    Your verified numbers are listed in the dialog. If none appear, click **Verify my number** to add one from your profile.

  <Step title="Scan the QR code">
    Scan the QR code to open a conversation with the bot. Send your first message to get started.

## How messages become notes

Each message you send adds to a note in there:

* Your text is appended to the note.
* Photos and their captions are inserted directly into a gallery.
* Audio messages are converted into independent audio notes (With transcript et summary)
* Video, and document files are not supported at this time.

Consecutive messages are grouped into the same note. After one hour without a message, the next one creates a new note.

## Commands

Send a command in the WhatsApp conversation to control the bot's behavior.

| Command              | Effect                                                                 |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `/org`               | Lists your available organizations                                     |
| `/org name`          | Sets the default organization for note creation                        |
| `/new` or `/nouveau` | Starts a new note on the next message instead of updating the last one |
| `/help` or `/aide`   | Shows help                                                             |

## Filter notes received via WhatsApp

In the notes list, open the filters and select **Source → WhatsApp** to show only notes created from WhatsApp.
