# Quantity

> Track dated quantities with history and display options

The Quantity block works like the Progress tracking block, with time-based
tracking and a dated history.

  To add this block, type `/quantity` then select
  <Icon icon="chart-column-big" size={16} /> **Quantity**.

The block displays a quantity automatically. It is particularly useful for
tracking dated workforce counts by company.

## Options

| Option  | Values                       |
| ------- | ---------------------------- |
| Unit    | Free field, empty by default |
| Display | `List` or `Table`            |

## Export

Copy-paste preserves the data structure for reuse in tools like Excel or
ChatGPT.

## Archiving

You can archive rows from the row menu <Icon icon="ellipsis-vertical" size={16} />.
