# Progress tracking

> Visualise and track progress across multiple project dimensions over time

The Progress tracking block provides a clear view of how project elements
are advancing over time.

  To add this block, type `/progress` then select
  <Icon icon="chart-column" size={16} /> **Progress tracking**.

The block lets you track multiple progress dimensions with a dated history,
navigate between check-ins and reorder rows as needed. You can switch between a
visual view and a table view, including on mobile.

## Date display

You can choose how dates are shown:

* None
* Short
* Full

Examples:

* **Short**: displays only two dates (actual start / end).
* **Full**: displays up to 4 dates (planned/actual, start/end) with delta.

## Options

| Option  | Values                     |
| ------- | -------------------------- |
| Unit    | Free field, `%` by default |
| Display | `List` or `Table`          |

## Export

Copy-paste preserves the data structure for reuse in tools like Excel or
ChatGPT.

## Archiving

To keep the table manageable over time:

1. Open the action menu <Icon icon="zap" size={16} />.
2. Click **Archive completed tasks**.

You can then show archived tasks again via the <Icon icon="archive" size={16} /> icon to keep the full history.
