# Notes

> Drop notes into a block then apply an AI instruction

This block lets you quickly reuse notes in a document, with a clear instruction
for the AI.

  To add this block, type `/notes` or `/rewrite` then select
  <Icon icon="sparkles" size={16} /> **Notes**.

## How to use it

1. Add the **Notes** block.
2. Drag and drop the relevant notes into the block.
3. Enter a custom instruction or choose a suggestion.

## Example instructions

* Merge multiple notes
* Produce a summary
* Translate
* Extract a task list
* Normalise the writing style
